During my internship I learned a great deal about what it truly means to collaborate with a client and translate their vision into something tangible and elevated. It pushed me to think beyond just creating something visually appealing and instead focus on designing with intention, making sure every decision aligned with the brand’s goals while still bringing a fresh, refined perspective. Being trusted with that responsibility helped me grow not only as a designer but also in how I communicate ideas and adapt to feedback.
One of the most rewarding parts of this experience was being able to see my work in person for the first time. There was something incredibly fulfilling about watching an idea move from concept to a physical product, especially when comparing it to the original designs and clearly seeing the level of improvement. It made all the time, revisions, and problem-solving feel worthwhile.
Throughout the project, we faced several challenges, including last-minute changes to the entire color scheme and difficulties with securing funding. These moments required flexibility, quick thinking, and strong teamwork to navigate shifting expectations while still maintaining the integrity of the design. Instead of slowing us down, those challenges ultimately strengthened the outcome and pushed the work to a higher level.
In the end, we were able to overcome each obstacle and create a product that feels cohesive, high-quality, and thoughtfully executed. This project not only strengthened my technical and creative skills but also gave me valuable real-world experience in client work, problem-solving, and seeing a project through from start to finish. It is something I am genuinely proud of and a milestone in my growth as a designer.
